DED Awards Nearly $250,000 in Tax Credits to Healing House KC Through the Neighborhood Assistance Program
“These tax credits allow us to continue providing critical recovery services while expanding our ability
to serve families, strengthening our entire community in the process.”
— Bobbi Jo Reed, CEO and Founder of Healing House KC
Kansas City, Missouri– The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has allocated over $7.6 million in tax credits through the Fiscal Year 2025 (Round 2) cycle of the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). Among the 44 Missouri-based organizations selected, Healing House KC was awarded nearly $250,000 in tax credits, strengthening its mission to provide recovery support and housing for individuals overcoming addiction.
The NAP program encourages private-sector investments in nonprofit organizations by offering 50% state tax credits to eligible donors who contribute to approved projects. These contributions will directly support Healing House KC’s Capital Campaign to develop the Family Enrichment Center—a transformative space dedicated to supporting both individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and their families.
A Beacon of Hope: The Family Enrichment Center
The Family Enrichment Center will provide tailored, compassionate care to empower individuals in achieving sobriety and fostering long-term well-being. The center will include:
✅ Individual counseling
✅ Group therapy
✅ Family counseling
✅ Educational programs
By expanding our clinical services, we will not only serve program participants but also support their family members, addressing the impact of addiction on the entire household.
“Receiving this generous support through the Neighborhood Assistance Program is a game-changer for Healing House KC,” said Bobbi Jo Reed, CEO and Founder of Healing House KC. “These tax credits allow us to continue providing critical recovery services while expanding our ability to serve families, strengthening our entire community in the process.”
